Over 14 Years of Veterinary Acupuncture Experience
Dr. Tina Ting earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2007. She received numerous awards and scholarships during veterinary school including a coveted scholarship to the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine for continued study in holistic medicine and acupuncture.
At the Chi Institute, Dr. Ting completed rigorous training and received her Certification for Veterinary Acupuncture under Dr. Huisheng Xie, a world-renowned practitioner.
Dr. Ting has long valued an integrative (both Eastern and Western) approach to medicine. She can remember as a child seeing many family members benefit tremendously from Eastern medical treatments, especially acupuncture. Growing up in an Asian family surrounded by so many proponents of acupuncture and witnessing the benefits first hand left a lasting impression on her.
Obtaining her Veterinary Acupuncture certification early in her professional career, and having the ability to take an integrative approach to patient treatment was extremely important. She wanted her patients to benefit just as her relatives had benefited on so many occasions throughout the years.
For over 10 years. Dr. Ting has been employing acupuncture and an integrative approach to patient care, yielding many happy, healthy, and pain free patients. Most recently Dr. Ting attained certification in Veterinary Medical Manipulation (similar to chiropractic) as an additional holistic treatment modality. It has proven to be a great compliment to Acupuncture and herbal therapy.
Most patients tolerate treatments very well and the non-invasive nature of acupuncture is invaluable when working on very sick and elderly patients. Dr. Ting treats a majority of patients with a complement of acupuncture, Chinese Herbal supplements, Medical Manipulation (similar to chiropractic adjustments) and food therapy/dietary modification when necessary.
